Cutting Edge Curriculum

The Ivy Education Group defines cutting edge curriculum by its ability to use research and best practices to meet the ever changing needs of our students. Our kindergarten curriculum not only meets the needs of our students emotional, social, physical, and academic needs, but it also encouragesthem to be open-minded, caring, principled and reflective.

Ivy Education Group’s kindergarten curriculum draws heavily on the theory of Multiple Intelligences. Howard Gardner, a Harvard professor, first proposed the Multiple Intelligences theory in his 1983 book “Frames of Mind”. Dr. Gardner noted that humans are made up of multiple intelligences, the main eight intelligences being: linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence, bodily kinesthetic intelligence, musical intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, and naturalist intelligence. Additionally, the curriculum is designed to ensure hands-on and inquiry-based learning happens throughout the day.

Ivy Education Group’s elementary and middle school curriculum encourages students to be independent, curious, principled, open-minded and caring. The curriculum is standards-based and uses an inquiry learning framework. Students learn through two languages and are challenged daily to use the best of both Western and Chinese ways of learning. The curriculum is designed to not only prepare students to be life-long learners, but also to ensure students have the linguistic proficiency, content knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to enter a university overseas and successfully graduate from such university.
